Children of Men
The Unseen Review presents BOOKS ON FILM at The Chiswick Cinema, hosted by Jessie Lethaby.
In this monthly book + film club, we’ll be exploring how filmmakers adapt great works of literature for the big screen.
In 2027, in a chaotic world in which humans can no longer procreate, a former activist agrees to help transport a miraculously pregnant woman to a sanctuary at sea, where her child’s birth may help scientists save the future of humankind (taken from Letterboxd)
Join us by first reading P. D. James’s classic dystopian novel of the same name, and then attending the screening of Cuarón’s iconic adaptation on 19th November. Afterwards there will be a guided discussion, followed by the opportunity to mingle with your fellow biblio- and cinephiles.
